Founded in 2008, the multi award-winning London studio is run by husband and wife Aaron and Laura Hammett.
The company provides full interior architecture and furnishing design services to some of the world’s most discerning clients. Creating bespoke homes that are authentic, liveable and timeless, tailoring their signature classic contemporary aesthetic to each individual client so that no two projects are the same.
Laura Hammett’s designs respond to the architectural vernacular of each property, contextual and geographical cues and the individual culture, lifestyle and taste of each client. Bespoke design is integral to the Laura Hammett approach and every facet of a project is meticulously designed, ensuring that each home is just as practical as it is beautiful.
The team work very closely with each client to provide a highly personal and adaptable service, building strong ongoing relationships where they often work with clients on multiple projects.
Alongside their UK portfolio, recent and ongoing international projects include a penthouse in The Bahamas, two villas in the South of France, a duplex and a triplex apartment in Hong Kong, substantial family homes in Saudi Arabia and India, private apartments in New York, Miami, Paris and China, as well as an 18-seater private jet.
Aaron and Laura are heavily involved in all projects and are supported by a strong team of interior architects, FF&E and procurement specialists, taking each project seamlessly from concept through to completion.
Run by the head of IA Karen Soriano, the interior architects work closely with Aaron and Laura’s creative direction to produce detailed drawing and specification packages and tender documentation. All interior architectural elements are handled in house from space planning; lighting design; joinery, kitchen and bathroom design.
Run by the associate head of FF&E Sarah Kenny, the FF&E specialists work closely with Laura on the furnishing and styling phase of a project, from bespoke furniture design, soft furnishings, bespoke lighting design, artwork selection to fabric schemes and finish specifications.
The procurement manager Katie Carrington handles all aspects of the FF&E delivery from design phase to detailed budgets, all procurement processing, coordination of shipments and final installation on site for a completely seamless delivery and execution.
Design Project Management
The teams closely monitor the progress of all design elements on site to ensure that the design is being implemented correctly, with regular site visits and coordination with all subcontractors and third parties.
Laura and the FF&E team carefully source, curate and dress each project with all decorative items and floral design to create the full lifestyle as the final touch to each project.
