Full interior architecture and FF&E design of a substantial 5 bedroom family home in Chelsea, London. Spread across 5 floors, on its lower-level sat a subterranean basement, which we designed to become a multi-functional, family entertainment space. Including a cinema, bar, golf simulation room and mezzanine level games space. The house was built in the Arts and Craft style and had been modernised over the years, yet still retained much of its original character in the external envelop. To create an authentic, timeless and traditional home, the interior rational took influence from the architectural language of the property and its grand proportions. The ethos of this design was to craft a suitably quintessentially ‘British’ home. By taking cues from eras of historical relevance, this home emulates a truly ‘modern heritage’ feel, with exquisite attention to detail. The property showcases furniture and lighting designs from the Laura Hammett Living Modern Heritage Collection.
